The INFORING joint-stock company was founded in 1995 and has become one of the largest informational multimedia centres in Estonia. INFORING is a large publishing house that publishes over ten periodicals (weekly newspapers – Infopress, TV Nedelya, TV Saatekava, Doska Obyavleniy, Didgest; crossword/puzzle collections – Divanchik, Perekrestok, MegaKross, Sudoku; magazines – Dom Sad Ogorod) and produces general interest, documentaries and commercial spots.

According to the data published by the TNS Emor marketing research and consulting company, the monthly readership of our publications exceeds 300,000 people and the publishing house is currently the sales leader in the Estonian regional publications segment.

Geographical borders no longer exist for information distributed in the modern global communications market. This is why INFORING’s readers and partners can be found not only in Estonia, but in other countries of the European Union and Eastern Europe, as well as UAE. The INFORING publishing house complies with the global tendencies of informational media exchange development, aimed at cultural awareness and mutual enrichment.

INFORING participates in European informational projects and organises and coordinates domestic and international cultural enlightenment projects. The international project TELEBALT (2002-2003) within the framework of the European Commission’s Information Society Technologies FP6 section. The INFORING publishing house was a participant of the project and the regional project supervisor in the Republic of Estonia. The goal of the project was to develop new information technologies and use them to organise practical work, as well as to search for new ideas and projects. This project included organisation of an informational seminar in Tallinn on 20.06.2003 and the creation of an electronic labour exchange for the Baltic States.

International project EPRI-Start (2005-2006) within the framework of the European Commission’s Information Society Technologies FP6 section. The INFORING publishing house was the regional coordinator in the Republic of Estonia.

The goal of the project was to search for companies in Estonia that were involved in developing new information technologies, create an information bank for the European Commission and governmental structures about companies and projects and certify companies using the set methodology.

The international project IST4Balt (2005-2007) within the framework of the European Commission’s Information Society Technologies FP6 section. The INFORING publishing house was the regional coordinator in the Republic of Estonia, participating in the creation of the information and demonstration centre, further development of the electronic labour exchange and the creation of the Baltic Youth Centre.

The TOUR FILM international festival of films for tourists took place in the Polish town of Poznan in late October of 2006. INFORING’s video “Amber Spit” (about Curonian Spit in Lithuania) was awarded second place in the main nomination titled “Tourist film that promotes region”. Promotional videos, spots and other video productions were made at INFORING’s own media studio using professional up-to-date equipment. Subsequent reproduction can also be done at the studio or via television channels.

The Caucasus on Lake Peipus 2007 project was a cultural and entertainment festival that introduced the Caucasian region’s culture through music, dances, songs, folk costumes and cuisine. More than 10,000 guests and Ida-Virumaa residents took part in the event. Several Russian and Caucasian stars performed at the festival: N. Bregvadze, V. Kikabidze, J. Okhotchinsky; bands Ariran, Luga, Mamuli, Terek and others. Local Armenian and Azerbaijani national associations also took part in the festival.
